Starcatcher adds a new skill-based fishing mini-game, using your new Starcatcher's Rod! 🎣
There are 90+ new fishes ready for you to catch and record in your catalogue
Every fish is restricted by several conditions, including Biome, Weather, Daytime, Fluid, Dimension and more!
Starcatcher features a fully in-game guide which will serve as a handy companion throughout your fish catching journey! It will guide you through hooks, bobbers, baits, treasures, trophies and many secrets!

Fishing Real
If Fishing Real is installed, completing the minigame will fish up the live fish! (Similar to the built-in behavior with the Almighty Worm)
EMI
EMI is the recommended recipe viewer mod as it has built-in integration with starcatcher's recipes and fish entries!
For Modpack Developers & Modders
- All the mods above have their fishes (and extra marine creatures) added as fishable entries to Starcatcher.
- If the mod also provides baits, that mod's fishes will be attracted to the respective mods bait.
- If the mod adds fishing rods (such as Aquaculture & Tide), they are not and will not be overriden by Starcatcher. You must use a Starcatcher rod, unless the mod's author has added compatibility on their side with Starcatcher's fishing minigame.
Each fish and trophy is fully costumizable through datapacks, perfect for modpacks looking to further customize the fishing experience! Reach out to me on discord and I'll be happy to help.
Check the wiki (wip) page on how to add your custom fish or trophy json with your restrictions, starcatcher will handle everything else.
