Tree Chopper

With this mod, you can break whole trees by just breaking a single block at the bottom, and the leaves despawn a lot faster.

What sets this mod apart from other similar mods that I've tested, is that it doesn't remove more leaves than the vanilla leaf decay already would. If you break a tree that is connected to others, it won't remove any of the leaves that belong to the other trees.

You can break single blocks by sneaking.

The time it takes to break the first block also depends on how many blocks are connected, bigger trees take longer to break.

At the moment the mod isn't configurable, though I will make it at some point.

Compatibility

This mod works with all logs in the minecraft:logs tag, and with all leaves extending the LeavesBlock class

I tested a few tree types from the following 3 mods, all of them were automatically compatible:

• Biomes O' Plenty
• Oh The Biomes We've Gone
• Nature's Spirit

You can install this mod on a server, and people without the mod can use it, though they will see the broken block reappear until enough time has passed for the increased block break time.
